moving No Double glazing!!

we are moving into rented accomodation in about 4 weeks lovely detached house but it has no double glazing as old glass and lead stained windows, how cold will we be?
Do you think we will freeze ?
Any experience/ hooror stories welcome.

Depends how big the windows are/how well-maintained they are/which way the house faces/how big the rooms are/how big the house is/what type of heating there is/how efficient that system works...

we didn't have double glazing in our old house until we replaced the windows, wasn't too bad for noise and drafts. main thing to watch for is security, if they are wooden frames check they have window locks fitted. first thing we did when we moved in was fit a window lock to every window.

in ours its cold and very noisy. buts its not a well maintained property and the frames are rotting away so that could be why.

We've never had double glazing, and still seem to be here! I'd worry more about what sort of heating there is.

not sure on the heating the house was so nice we just fell for it as soon as we walked in if we wanted to buy it would be about 450 to 500k and we could never afford that but the rent is quite reasonably, really nice area ect think there is secondry glazing in the bedrooms quite a big house some original wood floors...
oh no we are gonna freeze i know it!!!
