Bathroom cabinets

We are replacing our bathroom following a leak. Our builder has said that usually he just buys kitchen carcasses and puts different doors on them as bathroom cabinets are expensive in comparison. Anyone else done this? I'm not convinced as surely the cabinets will be too deep and I assume (perhaps incorrectly!) that bathroom cabinets are made differently to cope with the humidity. I'm keen to get other opinions on this as I'm sure DP will just want to go for the cheaper option!

Didn't do it but considered it would have just sawn off back but in the end went for "floating" sink. Kitchens/utility rooms also quite humid, shouldn't be a problem. How wonderful to have builder who wants to save you money

We want fitted furniture. Not sure of exact budget yet - waiting to see what the insurance company will cough up! We will need power for electric razor/toothbrushes etc.
