leak on cold water inlet on washing machine

i can't turn it anymore? anything i can bung on it.

Is it cross threaded? Try taking it off and putting it on again with a smear of vaseline. Otherwise, if very small leak, bind it up with plumber's tape until someone can fix it (nb, this is v short term solution).

i found some plumbers tape and used that.

i noticed that the blokes that installed the machine last week didn't change the hose and used the one already on there paid for that service too

Jesus, if it's leaking a week after it has been professionally installed, I'd get them back out again. Hope the tape does the job in the meantime.
