Deep Baths

[JuRoo]

Bathroom space is tight so a 1600 x 700 mm, square edged, fitted bath is needed. Finding it difficult to find one that isn’t just average depth or less, as it appears that the shorter the bath, the shallower it gets. That seems counter intuitive to me. I eventually found one that claims to be “Extra Deep” in a banner across its web page, the Sonas Pacific Endura Double Ended Bath, but on closer inspection it appears to be just an average, rather underwhelming depth of 420mm. Any suggestions will be welcomed for a 1600 bath, that isn’t a freestanding oval one & in which a 5ft 9 (170cm) person can lie in comfortably submerged without shoulders & knees getting cold.

Have you looked at Japanese baths? My sister has one, it’s short but deep.

A Japanese bath is a lovely experience - wish we’d had one fitted in our en suite

This is our bath although the fittings our bronze. I think its the best thing in our entire loft conversion and I just managed to squeeze it in. It's lovely and deep and even my wife who doesn't like baths love it. However I'm 5'3 and she's 5 foot. I can lay out but slightly curved with my head at the top one side and fit up to my toes in very slightly bent. All the fitters commented on how much it held. However the delivery was terrible in that they sent one man to deliver it alone so you really need to be ready to receive it the other end. I shall have to keep it forever as we had to bring it in through the window before it's final fitting. It makes the whole room very spa like. Other companies do what seems to the same base model but more expensive.

Edited to add it's the plumbword affine or something like that. Victorian plumb do a version with brass fittings, but it's £300. It was much better value to get the one from plumbword and the separate fittings although I did get blue light discount from drench
