Flooring dilemma

We have just had a new shower room and bedroom put in and now have a new corridor between the two, but I am unsure what best to put on the floor there. The shower room will be tiled and the bedroom will be carpet, and then the rooms either side are the kitchen & living room which are laminate & carpet. Off the kitchen is a conservatory which I am planning on putting down cork tiles.
My original plan was to cork over the laminate in the kitchen and have the cork run through into the new corridor, but I'm unsure if this will look odd. We have a view straight through from the living room into the conservatory.
I would also ideally like wood in the living room with a large rug, just to add to the mix.
What would you do this was your home? The cork is because it's warm to walk on, sustainable, relatively non slip, and cheap. I have also looked into flooring that's safe for dogs, floors for paws, but that's almost triple the cost

So the view from the livingroom is cork kitchen & conservatory, cork hallway, and carpeted bedroom? Sounds perfect.

The livinroom being cork, carpet or wood all work - although if you go for another hard floor, I think id prefer cork again to wood??
