Solar panels - advice and recommendations please

does anyone have recommendations for companies that install solar panels?

I am looking for the full kit - panels, battery, EV charging point and (hopefully) also air con in my loft conversion.

Chatgpt seems to think that one company will be able to deal with this but I am finding it hard work sorting through all the companies out there. I am in London, any recommendations?

Anything we should consider/ ask these companies? Planning on getting at least 3 quotes

Part of my roof is south facing and a neighbour has them (I will ask them about who they used but it must have been 10yrs ago).

For the quotes, I’d want a proper site survey and a written system design rather than just a price per panel. Check the installer is MCS-certified, and ask who is handling the DNO application, MCS paperwork/SEG eligibility, scaffolding, roof condition and any structural assessment. Get the panel, inverter and battery makes/models, usable battery capacity, expected annual generation, warranties and aftercare in writing.

As youre combining PV, a battery, EV charging and possibly loft air-con, ask for the electrical load-management design as well: whether the charger can be limited or prioritised, what happens when the battery is full, and whether the air-con is being designed by a suitably qualified HVAC installer or simply added as an extra. I’d also ask for the price split between each part so you can compare like for like.

I can't recommend anyone as not in London but my advice would be get two or even three batteries.
The more storage you have the more you can take advantage of agile/ fluctuating prices.
The main thing we got wrong was not installing an EPS backup as we live in an area of frequent power cuts.
