Tyne and Wear - any suggestions on a reputable company to do a staircase including stringer.
Hate posting on socials as had poor experience in past.
local to Newcastle, looking at oak or similar.

For a bespoke staircase, I’d get two or three firms to visit and measure rather than quote from photos. They need to check the structural opening, headroom, rise and going, and whether the existing floor/landing needs altering. Ask for a written quote that separates design, manufacture, fitting, balustrade, finishing and making good, as those extras can add up. Also ask who is dealing with Building Control: a new or altered staircase needs to meet the requirements for rise, going, handrails and guarding, and the stringer/landing may affect the structure. Look at a few recent installations in person if possible, check public liability insurance and references, and avoid paying the whole amount up front. Oak is lovely, but make sure the quote says exactly what grade and finish is included.
