Will settled defaults affect rental referencing checks when moving in together?

I am looking to move in with my partner this time next year and we have had the conversation regarding finances

I have had a few defaults in my account (they are over a year old and have been settled in full)

And I am just wondering if my defaults will show up on my referencing score if a letting agent was to do a referencing check

I earn about £32k annually and am expecting to get a bonus and payrise next year so would be happy to pay a months rent upfront if needed if I didn’t pass a referencing check.

My partner makes £27k annually and has no defaults

I was thinking of calling up a few estate agents in the area we are looking to rent and just making a few enquires as to how they approach referencing checks and people with defaults on their account

Would pre calling some estate agents be a good idea. I’m also thinking of doing a open rent check on myself just to see what pops up

Sign up for Experian and check your score and also watch it, you will see from here how to improve it.
improving is slow though so do whatever you need to sooner to get it going in the right direction.

you will be referenced so take action now to ensure you come across in the best possible way at the time.
