Has anyone successfully repainted a gloss kitchen, or is respraying better?

Has anyone ever successfully repainted a gloss kitchen? Wondering if it’s worth trying to diy, or if this is something that needs a professional resprayer

I think you can get the doors re wrapped?

Yes I did, from aubergine gloss to beige
i sanded it lightly first which helped I think

Yes it was easy - I used a primer first, then Rustoleum kitchen cupboard paint, with a mini gloss roller.
it looked absolutely fine for about three years, then a little bit chipped or scratched, not hugely noticeable.
i had the doors replaced after five years, ordered online from (I think) kitchen workshop for around £300 and played a local carpenter a days labour to fit.
but I’d definitely paint again if I didn’t have the funds to replace or wasn’t sure of colour etc
