If I like Egyptian Cotton…

I like Egyptian Cotton paint but it weirdly throws dark in our South facing room.

I am trying to find a similar shade but lighter and it’s driving me mad!
Can anybody recommend one please? Bonus if you have photos!

I like EC in pictures but when I tested it I found the same as you, it was a bit gloomier than expected. Eventually went with pale walnut which is dulux heritage.

Parchment by Crown Period colours if they still do it.

Mine is silk and is painted on top of old textured wallpaper. If I could have afforded to strip and plaster the wall it would have looked a lot better especially with Matt paint
