Have noticed a hole in the outside wall for the kitchen, right by the drain. The mortar seems to have come out altogether and the gap is quite deep. It's also green on the brick so I presume water is affecting it.
The house is 1930s and I think this part is original (there is also an 80s extension).
Do I need to get someone out to look at it or can I clean it up and .stick some mortar in there for this winter?
It's paving stones and then a cement path around the house - they have also painted the bricks with non breathable paint. Is the path too high/in too bad nick or do I need to worry about a leak?
Can't smell any damp inside the kitchen but hard to see as it is behind a fitted kitchen
