How on earth do I remove this toilet seat?

I can’t see any sort of button!

Both sides need tightening as it’s slipping around all over the place!

Websites talk about buttons but there are no buttons!

I think the toilet is a Structure Back to Wall with a Structure Soft Close Seat.

Is it a bolt that can be undone from underneath? Bendd down and look at the underside of the toilet bowl. It probably unscrews from there.

There'll be a tiny screw to release , or flip open the round bit and you'll be able to access the bolt from in there.

This is where youtube comes into it's own. That's where I found out.

Yes, this to get the seat off.

But how to replace the round bits that actually screw into the toilet, I don't know.
If I'd realised how to pop the seat off sooner, then I would have kept the round bits cleaner.

On mine, the bits with an arrow pointing to each, ARE the buttons, you push them both outwards with your thumbs, and then the seat lifts off.

Mine looks like that but white the horizontal bits on mine are caps you twist them to get them off then you can access the mechanism ( only know because mine keeps popping out . Might be a bit seized up

@Everyday50 sometimes there are no buttons and it takes a bit of strength to physically pull the lid upwards to release and lift the lid from the fixings.

There are no caps on it.

I emailed the manufacturer who replied and said you just pull it off. It won’t budge though!

Have you tried squeezing the silver bits from the middle to the outside of the seat then pulling up at the same time?

Can't see how it would just pull off are there screws actually under the porcelain toilet bowl . Can you tighten.them from underneath

@Everyday50 just needs a bit of "welly" 💪

Push these two simultaneously and pull seat upwards and the seat will come up. If it doesn’t then your screw is damaged and will need to be cut (happened to me before and plumber had to cut the screw).

Do you not pull these caps as in the direction I’ve shown? I think I can see a groove at the bottom.

I have this toilet seat, you just need to push the sliver buttons in with your thumbs & lift the whole thing upwards, took a bit of practice to start with.
Hope you manage to do it.

Push the silver buttons in from the centre to the outside and lift the seat off at the same time. Take take the large round silver things off they are just decorative to hide the screws and just lift off and the screws are under there

The silver ends are not buttons. It’s a solid piece of metal with no moveable parts.
