Leaving bedside tables

So we’re moving to our new house later this month. We have built in wardrobes in the main bedroom and matching bedside consoles (freestanding). We’re going to leave these as they match the wardrobes. Is that the right thing to do? Or would it annoy you?
We part exchanged for a new home so it’s now the developers - or will be.
Also I’m getting the range professionally cleaned - that’s the right thing to do as well isn’t it? (Slight disagreement with dh about this).

I’d ask the buyer if they want them. I will have virtually no furniture when I move to my next house, so I’d welcome them. Someone who is bringing lots of stuff and particular about their furniture won’t appreciate having to get rid of them.

i don’t think you need the range professionally cleaned. As long as it’s not left in a state I think it’s fine

As it's not going directly to a buyer, it's hard to say really. Matching furniture is probably not much use to you.
I probably wouldn't have the range cleaned unless it was a bit grotty. A thorough clean should suffice

We bought a property with built in wardrobes and in the run up to exchange/completion the seller got in touch to offer the freestanding bedside tables for free otherwise they were obliged to get rid, as they weren't in the agreed f&f list.

I would ask the buyers or put on the form of what is staying them. It may depend if they already have bedside tables / whether they could use them. I would appreciate things being cleaned but not essential - this house was the first one that had been professionally cleaned and it was so nice to move in and not need to clean house. Though cupboards would just give a quick wipe with a cleaner rather than professionally clean.

Put the bedside tables on the fixtures form in the legal pack. I wouldn't get anything professionally cleaned.

Depends on what you negotiate in thr fixtures and fittings list. If it ain't listed as staying, take them with you or get rid.

Thanks for the replies. Ex military wife here so I’m obsessed with having a 4 year old cooker looking like brand new (years of marching out of married quarters).

I'd leave matching bedside tables. They aren't screwed down but in a way they are part of the 'fittings'.

I'd leave them, they are part of the bedroom furniture, the rest of which is fitted. Otherwise the new owner will have to buy different ones that don't match.

If they'll fit, pop them inside the wardrobes on leaving day.

I left them ( matched built in furniture) and put them on the f&f form- also left some freestanding white goods, all the curtains and a couple of wall mounted TVs- again just put them on the f&f form. I offered them a few other bits which they declined which was fair enough. Just need to be clear with them.
