Which way should we run our new laminate flooring?

Hi,
We are getting laminate put in our spare bedroom (bedroom 1) and wondering which way we should have the planks running (we went with quick step laminate in impressive range, so more wide and long planks). I've attached a picture of the floor plan - this would be for bedroom 1.

Bedroom 2 has older laminate, more like the small planks effect and it's running on the longest side (sorry for my bad drawing in the floor plan haha). Wondering if we should have the other bedroom like that? Or in the other way.

The landing upstairs is carpet.

Downstairs the pine floor is running the other way, more the length of the house as you walk in which made sense to have it like that there.
What do you think?

I think I'd put it going the same way as Bedroom 2. Going with the length of the room feels better and it would bug me to have the two bedroom floors laid differently!

Vertical as you walk in the door.

Same as the other bedroom.
