Allergic to my house!!

We moved house about a month ago. The house we moved into wasn't left in a good condition mainly due to the fact they had numerous dogs and cats and hadn't cleaned very well.
I have pet allergies so it was horrendous! We have cleaned everything from top to bottom, pulled up and replaced carpets (which were cat pissy!) and washed all the curtains. The curtains are quite nice so ideally wanted to keep these.
The issue is I am still struggling with allergies. I have some stronger antihistamines but it's not settling down.
It's really taking the joy out of new house!!
What am I missing?? I feel like I have cleaned everything multiple times.

Keep all the windows open for as long as you can each day.

what about paying for a team of forensic cleaners, the ones who clean up crime scenes.

air purifier? i got mine at ikea a few years ago.

I agree with pp, you need to get a professional deep clean.

Open the windows as much as possible, take antihistamine and follow a low-inflammatory diet for a couple of weeks, and get out in fresh air as much as possible. The allergens will disperse in time. What a miserable start to your purchase though.

Air purifier in each room. Have the curtains been washed thoroughly as imagine dander and hair is probably lingering. Take fexofenadine for relief.

I don't have air purifiers though so I'll look into that.

Have you wiped the walls and ceilings down? One of those flat mops might be something to try. Is it also possible you have any plants adding to your load in the house or garden, or mould/damp in the house anywhere? That sounds really frustrating for you, I hope it settles asap.

check for mould (around windows, in/behind built in cupboards)
old house? might have lattice walls with horsehair in plaster.

Air purifiers make a big difference in my experience. If your vacuum cleaner doesn't have a HEPA filter, getting one can help too.

Have you washed the walls?

Check the loft as well. Wet insulation could be a breeding ground for mould.

If you’ve had to pull up the carpets, were the floorboards ok underneath?

Also wash your walls and ceilings with sugar soap.
