We need to set up our kitchen, but we don't know how to organize it so that it's practical.
Do you know of or have you tried any apps that can help with this? Can you recommend anything?

I used graph paper. I measured how much space I needed for things eg how many centimetres of space I needed for food storage, plates etc and cut little pieces of paper from the sticky end of post-it notes that were scaled to the size needed for each item I wanted in my kitchen. I moved them around until I liked the layout and then looked at mapping units to the layout. It worked really well for me.

I've used this system in several kitchens. Not all the expensive cupboard organisers but the zones and ideas to keep things where you need them: utensils next to cooking area, crockery storage next to cleaning area etc

Prioritise pan drawers over cupboards. If you need corner cupboards, get L-shaped ones with the doors that are in two with a hinge in the middle so you can access the whole cupboard. Not the ones where half the cupboard is in a void that you can't reach.
