Buying in Beckenham

Hi!
We are looking to upsize and move out of Dulwich as we were out priced. I saw a beautiful house on Braeside in Beckenham. It’s a much better location from commuting perspective than Park Langley area but I’m feeling a bit iffy in terms of schools. Also, is there a community feel there? A bit worried not to feel isolated. I’m a new mom and have a kid going to primary in 2 years.

Any advice from people living in the area would be very much appreciated.

Beckenham is lovely for families. Lots of playgroups and meet ups. Playgrounds a plenty (one great one in Beckenham place park - not the mansion one though)

Primary schools are all great. So are the secondaries really.

Hi @Francesca892 Braeside is fine you are fairly near beckenham junction station/Beckenham place park, I’m not sure what the nearest primary school is at that end although the vast majority of schools are excellent, another part of Beckenham which is very family friendly is the roads either at the back of Clockhouse station or Kenthouse station some outstanding schools the leisure centre/library & about the same distance for the high street as Braeside.
Beckenham is very family friendly lots going on in the area.

Just thought of some the roads opposite Croydon recreation ground some lovely houses also round by Kelsey Park very expensive though, park Langley does have some great housing stock but I’ve always felt it’s a bit isolated that might just be me.
