Room planning app for someone with no design sense?

We’re finally getting round to decorating our family room and I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing. I keep saving paint colours and furniture I like, but can’t picture how any of it would actually look together in our room.

Has anyone used an easy app where you can put in the room measurements and try different layouts, colours and furniture in 3D? I’m reluctant to start buying things and then discover it all looks completely wrong!

You can take a picture of the room
put it into chatgpt
then tell chat what colours etc you like
use the word depict at the start

for example

‘depict this living room with a light brown sofa and chair with the rest of the room in complementary tones. I like light green and floral designs. Include a rug, coffee table and lamps. ‘

then see what chat comes up with
you can then ask it to change stuff if you don’t like it

again
use the word Depict

I used Arcadium 3D (arcadium3d.com) when we were trying to sort our sitting room and found it really handy. I’m hopeless at picturing things, but you can put your measurements in and faff about moving the furniture and changing colours without actually shifting anything. Much easier than my usual method of dragging the sofa around and regretting it!
