Wireless doorbell - inside small porch or out in the elements?

Just bought a Eufy doorbell (340).

We only have a small open porch, roughly the width of the door.

Options are either to install on the side wall of the porch (it can be angled slightly but will still primarily only catch images when someone is actually in the porch).

Or we can install on the wall of the house (to the side of the porch), exposed to the elements. It won't have a view of them once they wait in the porch area after pressing the doorbell either.

Any recommendations on the best place to put it?

Why can't you install it on the door?

It's a flat and there'd be two doorbells plus a large door knocker. It's also a half paned door so not much space. But that would otherwise have been perfect!

My eufy is out in the elements for several years, survived heavy snow, rain etc. But with your options probably porch? As that feels like where you’d want footage someone right by the door

I was worried about the elements but sounds pretty sturdy.

Outside the porch will capture anyone who goes past and the time but yes, wouldn't capture someone who is actually trying to get into the house.

My Eufy has also survived outside very well. The charge point has a waterproof cover. Mine is fitted to the outside wall and captures visitors.
