What colour sink would you choose?

Just that really. Or could I pick something else entirely? I don’t want to change the cupboard door which eliminates a Belfast sink.

I usually lean towards a ceramic sink because I love that cottage look but in your case with your other decor I think the stainless steel actually works best.

See I’m quite liking the black, which I didn’t expect!!

Steel is easiest to keep looking good imo.
If you like tea and coffee I expect the white one is a pain to clean.

Agree! Also I think the black one looks ugly, but that is obviously a personal opinion. The white and stainless steel look good.

Are you in a hard water area? I think the black would show water marks too much.

Black will look dated in a few years, think how ghastly grey looks now and apply that.

Be careful what your black sink is made of. We chose black granite and it shows all the white water marks up badly. I have to do a deep clean and mineral oil coating of it once a week to minimize the marks.

Ceramic one looks miles better. Hate stainless steel sinks.

Stainless steel. Black looks awful, and will show up marks easily. Ditto white.

May be old fashioned/old school, but you can't beat stainless steel.

We have white ceramic and find it easy to clean, stainless steel was more work to clean. Obviously do need to quickly clean it daily but best to have a clean kitchen sink anyway. I think stainless steel looks dated now. I would also take into account size of kitchen and light, in a galley kitchen or one with less light would go for lighter colour.

White as it goes with the cottagey feel of your cream units and wood worktop.

I prefer the black but I've noticed that they start to look more worn more quickly for some reason. The white one looks really nice and fits the decor well.

I always think ceramic is unforgivving if you drop/bang things as regularly as I do. If you like black go for black. I have a copper sink, I'm sure people will tell me it's ghastly, but that's fine, it's not their home.

I'm not a fan of any of these. A Belfast sink of some kind would always be my preference (I think we've had them in six houses now), but if they are your only options, the white is marginally better imo.

White and black will look grubby over time. Stainless is not the most modern but it is most practical.

I'd go for a stainless steel one. They'll come back into fashion eventually, as all these things do. Or you take my attitude that fashion can do one and I'll get something that is practical.

I've currently got a white one made from some kind of composite (it was there when i moved in) and it is crap. It stains really easily and there are some rust stains which I don't think will ever come out. It has also been positioned so that the drainer doesn't actually drain properly.

Ceramic for looks, Stainless Steel for practically. Really dislike the fugly black, which is neither aesthetically pleasing nor practical.

The white one looks the prettiest but for practicality stainless steel is hard to beat. You don't need to worry about cracking it and if it gets a bit dull, a spritz of Astonish limescale cleaner it's back to gleaming again.

I'm a domestic cleaner, every black sink I see looks terrible and shows up every mark. Ceramic is by far the easiest to keep looking nice and to clean

A friend has a stainless steel sink with right angle corners rather than them being rounded corners and she gets an awful lot of gunk stuck in them. Just saying.
