Tips for checking a rental inventory before moving into a new house

We’re renting a new house shortly and the agent is doing the inventory this weekend. Can anyone give me any tips for the inventory check- things to look out for etc. I’ll take a photo of any damage I spot. Is it weird or sensible to do things like look inside cupboards or check white goods (not really sure how).

thank you.

As a surveyor, take a full record of condition. Take pictures of every wall, ceiling, carpets plus garden pictures.

You can really quickly format it into a pdf using the photo album function in PowerPoint and provide it to your agent/landlord. It will give you the best protection.

I would photograph every room and any detail you can. The more the better.
