Kitchen upstand tiling options/fake tile boards?

Hi,

Ive been debating this internally for far too long and need to ask if anyone has any experience of fitting those fake metro tile boards onto a kitchen wall to “tile” up to the cupboards? I really like how seamless they look and imagine with the labour cost of tilers would be more cost effective.

would anyone know if they’re easy to self install and cut to size or do I just bite the bullet and pay a gazillion pounds on a tiler?

hopefully I’ve attached an image so you can see an example…

Bevel Metro Tile Wall Panel Teal Blue - Reco Surfaces

These Bevel Metro Tile wall panels in an off-set design are available in a range of sizes and colours. They make a perfect alternative to tiling.

I did these in our kitchen a few months ago. A sharp Stanley knife and a ruler and you’re good to go. I didn’t get ours totally perfect but we’re pretty happy with them. People have commented they couldn’t believe they weren’t real.

Are they like tile stickers but a large sheet? I like the look of them

I believe it’s a moulded sheet of hard backed plastic, it’s not the self adhesive wall stickers.

I believe it’s a similar material to
shower panels
