We have booked a viewing for a property on the weekend. It is overpriced and has been on the market 4 months but ticks quite a few of our boxes. Our friends actually went to view it and confirmed it needs complete renovation and is most definitely overpriced. I was hoping there could be some negotiation as it is not lived in and from my very brief discussion with the EA, the sellers want to sell fast.
It isn’t going up for auction but the brochure says “guide price”. Does anyone know what this means? I haven’t come across a guide price on a house that isn’t up for auction before.
The EA couldn’t have been less helpful/ vague. I’ve sent an email following up but still no response and no doubt they’ll come back with a similarly vague response via email. If not more so.
