hi everyone - quick q re tenant checks.
we are selling and looking to rent. i have a large CCJ which im paying back monthly and have sent them repayment plan over last two years (ccj is 2 yrs old)
they emailed our agent (commercial landlord) saying application not acceptable due to active adverse credit late last night at 10pm. i made landlord aware of that prior to putting down holding deposit.
what confuses me is that Let Alliance has emailed me thonight with 'Now you are moving you need insurance!' email. My portal just shows each area as completed but no other detail.
If i cant rent we need to pull out of our sale asap 😩
anyone dealt with Let Alliance before? my affordability is great and will have substantial savings (over 200k)

As you have plenty of cash, why don't you offer to pay rent up front (6 months was standard back in the day), or pay off your debt? Then your creditworthiness won't be an issue

Thank you for your reply. They said they can no longer accept anything upfront. Debt will be cleared once we complete however i need to know wether we can rent or not before then because i cant risk us selling and then ending up homeless 😅
It also always shows as a CCJ for six years even if it's cleared.
