Chain has collapsed

Had the news yesterday that our buyers sale has fallen through absolutely gutted as it means the property we were buying is back on the market (as are we).

It was literally the only property in our budget suitable for us due to location (close to school). I dont drive and can't due to health related reasons and our current home is too far for me to walk no buses etc.

Just feel a little bit lost, I know I'm not the only one whose gone through this any positive outcome stories after house chain collapsing?

Yes of course there can always be a positive outcome.
Don't dwell on what happened focus focus on selling your house - do what ever you need to - an open day?
Your agent is hopefully pulling out all the stops to get the job done.

Can you afford to reduce (even a bit) so as not to lose the house you want ?

I had three house purchases fall through. In the end I found a better house and while there was one ‘that got away’, it turned out fine. I did complete on my sale though and because the purchases fell through we ended up over six weeks in three different Airbnbs and two hotels. That plus the wasted money on surveys and it cost about £12k more than it should.
