I am going through a divorce and likely to end up with around £120,000 from the equity of the house.
I really dont want to rent and I think I would struggle to get a mortgage as I only work part time self employed.
I have a 21 Yr old who works full time.
I need a 2 bed, preferably with a garden for my dog. I'm my area its a minimum of £200,000.
I am looking into shared ownership but dont really know how it works. Can you put a large deposit down ? Any advice?

Don't see why not, the ones I look at all say min deposit of......

Some have a restriction on max earnings but that doesn't sound like that would affect you.

Some also have a first time buyer restriction, at least they did when I looked.

Good luck

You would get a mortgage OP, I'd focus on that and owning your own home in full. Plenty of mortgages for self employed people are available.
