Do house surveys put you off a property, ? Im not talking very obvious falling down stuff just the utter rubbish some surveyors write on,.....one of our was totally inadequate power sockets in the kitchen...that was a red also the victorian bathroom was needing to be upgraded, that was a red 😆

I think they can spook FTBs but anyone who's ever bought a house before knows that some of the stuff in there is all about the surveyor not wanting to be liable for anything.

we haven’t had one done this time as it didn’t seem worth it for a load of ‘mights and coulds’ I walked round with a builder relative instead which felt much more realistic.
We have FTB though and I’m worried they might panic (our house is pretty straightforward and what you see is what you get but I’m sure there will be something red that’s an non issue the surveyor will say might be a problem).
dreading it!
