Anxiety about the ceiling collapsing

I have extreme anxiety
I have ever since my son passed

I'm being told this ceiling could collapse without warning
I have a toddler and I'm so scared for her safety

A friend / family member / Google / an AI?

Or someone who has actual building knowledge and a background in building safety?

Please go and see your gp. Yoi vould have ptsd from losing your son. Ptsd make you feel constantky on edge as if you are about to die at any moment. It can be treated well in most people with emdr therepy. Go and see your gp and if rhey think it could be ptsd keep gping back until they give you some emdr.

On other thread it looks as if you have been reassured by EH that it is safe. Unless there is water leaking into the area above it is very unlikely to worsen. Maybe look for an alternative property ( although suspect you would find something to focus your anxiety again on regardless) and ask go for some mh support.

if private renting get landlord out to see it and deal with it
if a Housing Association report it
if your own house get a reputable builder to see it
you have been through an awful time please see your Dr for bereavement counselling
