Wardrobe design

Hello! I’m designing my wardrobe and would love to hear what is working well for you.

Unfortunately the space is quite small, so I’m under pressure to use the space wisely! It’s a sloped ceiling in the loft which is making everything very awkward.

The tallest column could be 100cm wide. Originally, I planned to use this for a short height clothes rail (blouses etc) and add 100cm drawers underneath. But I am now considering splitting it into 2 x 50cm, using 1 side for longer length items and the other would have 50cm drawers.

My concern is that 50cm drawers actually become too small once you account for runners etc. Does anyone have 50cm drawers? What can you fit in them? Are they just for knickers, bras, t-shirts, or can you fit sweatshirts and knitwear etc?

Any good ideas for shoe storage?

If it helps, kitchen cabinets are 60cm wide and I think most bedroom drawers are minimum 80cm. (Apologies if wrong, it's off the top of my head). Maybe look at your kitchen cabinets to visualise and even try your clothes in them! Sounds weird, i know, but could help.
