Alternatives to Origin doors and windows

I’ve received a quote from the nearest Origin supplier. It is over our budget and I’m wondering if it’s worth approaching other Origin suppliers (I’ve no idea if quotes will differ - the nearest showroom is very swanky/ expensive to maintain). I’m also wondering if there are competitors supplying similar quality products. The other nearby supplier’s products seem much lower quality.

Does anyone have any tips or tricks to share?

Yes, lots of alternatives to them. Not difficult to find either. Is this an advert in disguise?

Defo not an advert.

I used AI and it suggested ALUk and Smart. The challenge I have is that prices aren’t advertised and there are no nearby showrooms that seem to have their products.

I’m time poor and was hoping for advice

I have origin doors - unfortunately my fitter died and his business too. My doors are a mess and origin will not service them.

That sounds like a nightmare SanSeb.

Based on the cost of the doors/ windows, it sounds like a risk not to get the manufacturers to fit, but your expert highlights the risk.

Everything I’m reading is saying a quality product is only as good as the fitter.

They were fitted 13 years ago - the fit wasn’t great and Origen came out and inspected and approved the fit - still there is a gap in the winter and the summer they stick through expansion - the width of the doors is too much for the expansion and contraction due to temp but they’re approved by origin and they will not come anywhere near my doors, the guarantee is worthless and we couldn’t even pay them for a service.
