If you have a swimming pool, how often do you use it?

I am wondering if you use your pool a lot? Has it been worth it? We have two children and we all love to swim, both kids have lessons once a week and strong swimmers. We also take youngest once every week/two weeks for fun!

We would heat it over summer months and most likely close it for winter (October- may?)

Thank you!

I don't have one (though would be on my list if I won a fortune!), but I think it's quite a personal thing and also how big it is. One friend moved to a house with a small pool. You couldn't swim lengths in it, so they basically went in it a few times when it was hot, and had a "pool party" for their teenagers. After a couple of years they got rid of it as it was too expensive for such little use, and just took up room.
Whereas another friend a few years ago had a decent length pool for many years and he started every morning almost year round doing lengths.

Ours is 10m long. We probably use it 4-5 times a week each to swim lengths and kids go in on weekends to muck about.

Thank you both. This property has a pool of 10m and I think that’s a good size? I think we are going to put in an offer today!!
