Just this, if a Level 2 survey suggests further damp and timber inspection is required in a 1900 terraced home, how do you brief the subsequent surveyor?
Do you tell them everything you know about the property including feedback from the seller and the relevant pages of the survey? Or, do you let them independently look and see what they come up with?
It's a house a family member is going after and they've asked me what to do. The family member knows there was a building warrant applied for after an unsupported chimney was found during damp works and there is a paper trail of sorts to show that the seller took the appropriate remedial work.
