Towns like Faversham?

DH and I are looking for a place to call home. We're in Faversham for a few days and really liking it's size, history, and extraordinary cleanliness. Sadly, there are no hills and as keen walkers this is fairly important. So... any suggestions for towns in the South East, similar to Faversham but near hills?

On the outskirts of Faversham is Oare marshes where you can walk for miles and it’s close to coastal areas. Not much further on to the South Downs in East Sussex. Lewes is a bit like Faversham but housing is more expensive.

Dorking - Box Hill, Surrey Hill, beautiful scenery, good transport, very clean, rare to get anti-social behaviour and it has a Waitrose! Double the price though.

Thanks guys! I suspect I'm looking for the proverbial needle...

I don't know Faversham, but Storrington, Steyning, Hassocks, Lewes and Eastbourne?

I live on the south side of Faversham. Technically Ospringe

You can walk south from Faversham down to the London road. Cross over into Water lane ( this is the north side of Ospringe ) and keep going. You're into farmland and rolling hills as you make your way down the roads or tracks to Painters Forstal etc.

I agree, as someone else has mentioned, Oar is also lovely.
As are the walks on the west side of Faversham past the old gunpowder mills

ps. We have plenty of hills just no mountains
