I know they will turn green if not cleaned regular. Beside that any metal bath will absorb and radiate out the heat from the water, my first bath was metal and I installed a small water heater in the bathroom in order to top the hot water up. This was back in the day when hot water was limited by the size of the emersion tank, which incidentally was copper in lagged with insulation.

The is only 1 company that does copper bath repolishing. The cost is huge. But tempted to get a copper bath from them too. Bathroomwarehouseuk.com not sure how long they been around.

Copper tubs are very pretty.
I've a steel tub from Bette. I love it. You can get insulated steel tubs if you are worried about the water cooling down too soon, but it's not been a problem for me.

Why do you want one?

Do you have a full-time housemaid?
