How would you update this floor plan? Primarily around the kitchen/dining room, that joint wall faces onto the garden (right side of image). I'd like to make it more open-concept with doors onto the garden somewhere. I think that little 'hallway' could come out, though maybe it's useful to have somewhere for muddy kids to shed shoes etc.
Dreaming stage right now, the house is well underbudget so some flexibility in what we could spend on it but don't need/want a massive extension though there is definitely space for some extension to the right.
I'd also like to turn the garage/utility/hallway situation into a bedroom/study, wetroom and utility.
