On Monday the water pipe to our washer has become blocked and backed up and the first we knew of this was when the washer was on and the join where the washer pipe meets the water pipe, burst, and leaked all over the floor.
We have vinyl on top of tiles which is fine, and thankfully, under the washer is just concrete, so no flooring to lift. The water went all under the washer and flooded through to under the cupboards, again, concrete. We pulled the washer out when it happened, mopped to soak up all standing water and I’ve popped some of the supermarket dehumidifiers down in the area for now. I’ve also pushed the kickboard to one side for ventilation.
Is there anything else I can do or does it just take time to dry out? We go on holiday for 2 weeks on Monday so I’m thinking of just leaving it pulled out until we get back which will give it a good three weeks to dry out.
Any suggestions?
