Hi, I’m looking for advice! My next door neighbour has a considerable number of house cats (I’d guess at about 15-20). It started off as a couple of kittens about 5 years ago and then a couple more maybe a year or so later, and I’d say last year was when the cat explosion happened! I’d guess they’re inbred but I’m not certain!
Before they were over run with cats they had a catservitory built outside their French doors, which looked a bit tatty,but the cats got fresh air and some more space so no real issue.
Last summer when they started to have their windows and doors open I realised how bad the smell was (adjoining house so my patio is a matter of 3 meters away from their open French doors) and it was about this time I realised they had quite a number of cats.
I contacted RSPCA for advice and they said they’d visit (think they were more concerned about the number and possibly inbred more than the smell). Anyway, today’s the first hot day of the year and I’m back with the problem of smelly cat neighbours! How can I approach this? Neighbours don’t answer the door, but even if they did, how can you politely tell someone their house stinks of cat piss 😩
Any advice is much appreciated!
