Ikea kitchen integrated appliance advice please!

Hi all…finding it difficult to find a definitive answer online so hoping for some help! We are wanting to fit an Ikea kitchen. I’d like our washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher integrated, but I do not want to use the Ikea appliances. Will standard integrated appliances fit the metod system for these? Do they require any modifications to fit? Anyone who has done this in their Ikea kitchen and can advise would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Hi. We have our own washing machine and tumble dryer in a method ikea kitchen. It was fitted by ikea and I’m sure we had to have the wider worktop to make it fit. I will add a photo

yes it was planned in store.

I’ve got a non-IKEA dishwasher in a Metod unit. I’m pretty sure it’s just a standard dishwasher unit.

the ikea dishwashers are excellent, the pricier ones are bosch models i believe

@lemonts my husband also said the dishwashers are meant to be amazing! So we’ll probably get an Ikea dishwasher. So just the washing machine and dryer issue to solve!

I can’t comment on the fitting but I have an Ikea integrated dishwasher and it’s the best dishwasher I’ve ever had.

We have an ikea dishwasher in an ikea kitchen, but unlike others’ experience I don’t rate the dishwasher. It cleans fine, that’s not the issue, but in the last 12 months or so all the internal rubber parts on the drawers have started to disintegrate - it is 7 years old so perhaps this is to be expected but after every wash we find little bits in the bottom that were once attached!

We had a terrible experience with and Ikea Kitchen where the cupboard fell off the wall injuring my mum. It was fitted by Ikea. On top of that the dishwasher broke, part of that was because of the heavy cupboard door on the dishwasher. The housing around it also eventually broke. we had it replaced with a non integrated one and the engineer said he was doing that a lot.

Most appliances are a standard size , so as long as you choose ‘integrated’ appliances they should fit any make of fitted kitchen.
