Quote for fencing - advice

Hi can I have some advice please. I've received a quote to have my fence repaired as follows:

  1. Dismantle existing fencing, keeping fence panels to re-use. (5 panels)
  2. Excavate holes to a suitable depth for fence posts.
  3. Supply and fit new fence posts in new concrete bases.
  4. Fit existing panels to new posts.
  5. Supply and fit new 6’ x 1’’ wooden green trellis panels to fence panels.
  6. Remove all related waste.

£840

I've no idea whether this is good or not and I haven't time to get other quotes. He's well respected in the area so I'm assuming this is reasonable? Any views appreciated
thanks

That's fairly typical pricing.

One day labour for two men and van, plus ordering, supplying and (presumably collecting materials + admin I would expect to pay around £700 (depending on location). If he is VAT registered that would add on another £140 so I think his quote is fair.

That's very cheap and reasonable - go for it

Having done quite a lot of fencing myself I’d say yes that’s about right. 6 posts, plus disposal is a long days work for two people.

Id say also perhaps get new panels too, unless the ones you have are in very good condition. It’ll only add a bit to your price and will look fresher.

Sounds reasonable to me
