Dulux colours - rolled oats help!

Hi all, for our new extension I liked the look of rolled oats but order the sample and it seems an entirely different colour to the app? Same also with malt chocolate and elderflower tea (although not so much)

Would anyone kindly share a picture of their wall if it happens to be painted in rolled oats! It looks very magnolia on the wall I've got the tester which is not what I'm going for....

The Dulux app is pretty crap (especially on the augmented reality bit). Samples all the way!

This is with the visualiser app, the middle colour is the tester.... Completely different

Ah that's so annoying! How am I meant to even get close?! I've posted a picture of how different they are (once it's approved)

Their picture of a room with rolled oats is also completely different to the tester though

You could try another tester, but we had a similar issue (except in reverse - the sample was out choice, but the visualiser showed something different). I don't think the visualiser takes lighting etc into account.

Only thing I can suggest is that maybe someone can give suggestions for a similar colour, or you see whether Brewers, B and Q or someone could mix you a colour based on the one on your screen.

Thank you - yes, open to suggestions. It's so odd as every picture of rolled oats online looks vastly different to the sample (and I've popped the sample in two different places in the room)

The colour you see on the app won't be the same as other people see. You will never get a true colour via a phone screen.
Even people showing you the colour on their walls will be of limited value as it may look completely different on your walls. I have Egyptian cotton on my stairs and also in my bedroom and in the kitchen. If I didn't know they were all the same I would swear that they were 3 completely different colours. Things like the light in a room, windows, time of day, existing colours and height of ceiling will all change the colour to varying degrees.
