Mirror top bulbs

Do you use them? Do they reflect light upwards? I’m thinking about using them to illuminate a feature - a ceiling. Currently I have normal bulbs but they also cast light downwards which I don’t strictly need. I was advised to use these mirror ones but I’m curious how they actually work.

Just to add because it’s not clear how I wrote it - do they reflect light upwards when they’re placed in a ceiling lamp, facing the floor.

I didn't know this existed, so I can't help, but what a pretty ceiling you have!

Thank you @dudsville! It’s very pretty and 4 m high which makes changing bulbs and lamps very difficult and I have to get it right :)
