Buying a bathroom through a showroom with one item bought separately

This is the first time I’ve ever chosen a bathroom. Previous houses have had decent enough bathrooms but the time has finally come to redo ours, and I’m a complete novice. It’s going to be installed by a local no lumber who we’ve used many times and a contact of his who will do the rest of the work to include tiling, plastering etc.

I like a wall mounted vanity unit from Duravit, but there isn’t a local stockist. Everything else we will probably buy through our local
bathroom showroom. Is there anything I should be aware of or pay attention to when circumventing the showroom? I know nothing about bathrooms which is why we’d ideally buy everything through the showroom.

Ask the plumber - say we’ll be ordering all the stuff through the showroom except this, we’re planning on ordering it separately through this site, do we need to get any extra bits for fitting etc?

Makes sense! Thanks.
