Can you recommend, reasonably priced areas

I private rent currently and the house prices have gone up and up in recent times. I’m looking to move as I have no ties to the area anymore. I’ve been retraining and will be renting then looking to buy. I will be job hunting at the same time. Ideally looking for a 3 bed under £1000 month. Currently I pay this but if I moved it would be around £500 more. I’d prefer a small city/town in a decent area. Any suggestions?
