Flat roof & building a conservatory

We have offered on a property which has a flat roof st the back; we are considering adding an extension/conservatory with a flat roof - is that going to be a problem because of the flat roof?

Not sure what you mean @KatyMac . Is it a 2 storey house with a flat roof or an existing extension with a flat roof that you are wanting to make bigger? To be honest you would be better consulting an architect or a good builder.
Have a look on the local authority planning portal. That might give you some info.

Hmm i have in the recesses of my kind that conservatory have problems next to flat roofs but I can't quite remember what (menopause)

I will consult with appropriate people - i just wish I could remember - was ut something with gutters?

Flat roofs tend to have problems as they don't drain excess water away very well??

Maybe, although that isnt triggering any memory
