Hi

I have a broken extractor fan and want to replace it with a more effective one.

It is ceiling mounted and an Expelair 100mm fan

Any recommendations?

Please advise @PigletJohn

Thanks

Hi, I'm an electrician so hopefully can advise - you likely have an axial fan, meaning it has a propellor in it, a more powerful option is a centrifugal fan which packs more of a punch.

These are available for surface mounting on the ceiling, but they have a deeper and larger profile, so stick out somewhat and look, frankly a bit ugly, but they do work very well

Wiring and duct outlet to 100mm duct are the same.

Here is a link to a Manrose unit from a reputable wholesaler

Thanks DeftWasp

I double checked, ours is an Envirovent 100 and it has been a bit disappointing

I think one with greater suction might be a better option. 😊
