Hi everyone,

I bought this rug from Amazon as it was the only one within my budget but im really regretting it. I cant send it back because it was purchased a few months ago and I've only just laid it out.

When i opened the packaging i laid it flat for a few days before placing it into the room its currently in. When it was first laid out it was flat and flush to the floor but im finding it just keeps moving and bunching up. The room it's in is a low traffic area so I just don't understand why it's happening. 2 of the side have sofa legs o them.

I've tried ironing out the creases and I've also used ice, which did somewhat work for a day or two but the rug started bunching up again within a few days.

Can anyone suggest what else I can try? At this point I'm just so fed up with it that I wish I could afford a new one.

You can buy a rug underlay cheaply from somewhere like ikea that stops it living. It’s like a mesh

I posted about a similar problem. Looks like your rug is on carpet as is mine. I understand that the mesh that you put under the rug won't work on carpet.

Watching to see if someone has a magic solution.

You need a fleece type underlay for rugs on top of carpets. We have some we bought from a carpet shop which is amazing and it feels like the right is glued in place, but I’ve seen similar in sale in B and W and on Amazon.

This is what you need https://frithrugs.co.uk/products/underlay/foxi-anti-creep-underlay-for-use-on-carpeted-floors/

my rug is thicker than yours (ie with a thick pile) and had developed creases which looked awful but this completely solved the problem.
