Pendant lights using rechargeable bulbs without hiring an electrician?

I have only just realised that rechargeable lightbulbs are a thing! For a while now, I've wanted hanging lights over the island in our kitchen but I've been put off by the cost of getting an electrician in. Can I really just hang the lights and use rechargeable lightbulbs? Is it really that easy?!

You can get rechargeable bulbs that charge via USB, so you could just hang a pendant and put the bulb in it. Other types of rechargeable bulb will charge from a powered light fitting.

The USB bulbs I’ve seen are heavy, so make sure it’s well secured and that the fitting is robust enough to have the weight of the bulb hanging from it.
