Anyone used Bishopsgate Law for conveyancing?

If so any advice? Steer clear or all OK?

I've contacted 2 local solicitors and so far no responses.

I saw Bishopsgate Law on Google, their reviews seem pretty good but am skeptical! Not sure why!

I used an online solicitor for my divorce and got lucky, they were amazing, but I realise I likely got lucky and it won't happen again....

I'm currently using them...no issues with my sale but my purchase has been a nightmare communication wise, so much so my vendor has refused to sell to me now saying I've been delaying things..emails from us have been ignored and had to chase numerous times, latest one saying can you remind us what your enquiries were. I've had to hurry to secure a new property before my buyers get fed up waiting..I am not using Bishopsgate for my purchase now.

Wow, sounds like a nightmare. Might give them a swerve, they are the cheapest by far but no good if they're rubbish! Thanks for the info.

I used them to buy out my help to buy loan and found them fine

My DS used them for his flat purchase and they were fine. Yes he had to chase and check but they got his new build done in the 29 days the developer insisted on. As always it depends on the team you get but it was possible to speak to the conveyancer and she was responsive. They weren't the cheapest but they were happy do deal with a flat under the Building Safety Act which a huge proportion of solicitors aren't.

We used them recently. FTB straight forward purchase in Oct 2025. They were great, responded to our emails within the hour. Kept us updated on timelines and stuck to it. We had 2 people in the team so we didn't need to wait if someone working on our case was on annual leave. Everything was straightforward on our end.

Used them twice in 2020 and 2024 and no issues either time. They were competitively priced compared to other quotes we had.

We used them recently and absolutely would NOT recommend 😡
No accountability, everyone elses fault, no communication, unreliable.
Avoid.

We used them when I sold my mum's house. The two people assigned to our case were really helpful. It was an easy sale, and we had no problems. We actually used them again when we bought somewhere a couple of years later (2024), and we asked for the same two members of staff. They are local to us, I popped in with some forms, and the offices were nice and normal!

Over the years, we've bought and sold several homes, and the service we have had has been totally dependent on the individual conveyancer, not on what we paid for the service. Our worst experience was with a local expensive solicitor, I'm sorry to say, who went on maternity leave mid query, but forgot to let us know!
