Itchy feet..

We've lived in our current home for 15 years.
It's fine.
We've done a lot to it, its (just) big enough for the 4 of us.
It's in a fairly desirable area.
But I just feel so
"Meh" about it.
Don't want to extend as we don't really need the room and we extended at our old house and I swore never again!
I don't want to stay here forever and now that the kids have left school (which was why we moved here in the first place) we have no ties.
In a couple of years we could potentially downsize, but it could be more like 4/5 years 😕
It really is fine...why do have itchy feet?
Dh is planning some garden alterations this summer and the kitchen could do with tarting up a bit, none of which will make me suddenly love the house.
I recognise this smacks of "my diamond shoes are too tight" but its making me feel quite low/sad.
Any tips/advice?
Did any of you feel the same, what was the outcome?

I think you answered your own question. You don’t want to stay. Do you know where you will live next? Do you need to wait 4/5 years or could it happen sooner? I suspect this may be more about the area than the house.

It would help long term being closer to the nearest big city.
Neighbours are fine, no issues

If you can afford it, move. Life is too short so if you can, get a home you love that brings you joy.
