Imprinted concrete driveway

Does anyone have one of these? I'm not sure if I've got the right name but I mean the concrete that has a brick pattern stamped onto it. They look very nice at first but I'm wondering how they hold up. I can afford to ahve block paving but I'm really nervous about weeds and I think the imprinted concrete willb e bbetter for weed control.

Thoughts?

Not the brick patern but my parents had a slate style imprinted concrete put down almost 30 years ago. House recently gone on the market and the EA assumed it was quite new! It is weed free and easy to clean (unlike our block paved driveway which is a weed magnet!)

I think like any drive surface it will depend a lot on how well it is laid in the first place. I have boringly been looking a lot at people's drives recently as we need a new drive. I have seen some imprinted concrete drives that look awful although I obviously don't know how long they have been down. I think it also depends how much traffic it will get. If you are parking a heavy EV on it daily then it will need to be more hard-wearing than if it's not used often or you've got a little Citroen C1 etc.
